The plane with weapons, which was intercepted in Nigeria, is not connected with Ukraine at all, Ukrspetsexport state-owned company told UNIAN.
According to Ukrspetsexport, the cargo is not connected neither with the company nor with its affiliates.
According to the information of the company, the cargo belongs to Croatia.
At the same time, UNIAN has got to know that Ukrainian citizens were among members of the plane’s crew.
As UNIAN reported earlier, referring to Itar-Tass, Nigeria intercepted a plane, bringing weapons from to Equatorial Guinea. It was detained by Nigerian secret services in the international airport of the city of Kano in the north of the country, where it made an emergency landing as a result of a technical glitch. The plane crew were arrested. Law enforcers found 18 crates with weapons aboard the plane during the search. According to preliminary data, three pilots are Ukrainian citizens.
