President pays visit in South Korea
To sign a number of bilateral agreements
Victor Yushchenko and his wife will be in South Korea until Wednesday, according to the President`s press-office.
They are accompanied by Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk, Defense Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko, Economy Minister Volodymyr Makukha, Deputy Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy, Ukrspetsexport Director General Serhiy Bondarchuk, National Space Agency First Deputy Director General Valeriy Komarov and the Head of the Verkhovna Rada Group for Parliamentary Relations with South Korea, MP Serhiy Larin.
On December 18, Mr. Yushchenko is expected to meet with South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun for talks in Seoul, sign a number of bilateral agreements and lay wreaths on the Monument to Korean Fighters.
On December 19, the President will meet with Parliamentary Speaker Lim Chae-jung, attend a business forum and address students and professors of Korea University. He will meet with members of the Association for Friendship with Ukraine and the Parliamentary Association “Korea-Ukraine.” Mr. Yushchenko will also visit the Jogyesa Buddhist temple.
