The Ukrainian delegation chaired by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych participated in the funeral ceremony of the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

      Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych laid a wreath on a grave of the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov and signed a Condolence Book.

      The Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko, First Deputy Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine and former Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkmenistan Vadym Chuprun, other officials took part in the funeral ceremony of the President of Turkmenistan.

      As the Head of Government said he had held a short meeting with Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan Kurbanmirat Atayev concerning future relations between Ukraine and Turkmenistan.

According to the results of the meeting, the sides had agreed that the strategy of relations between two countries remains unchanged.

      “The relations and traditions which have been formed during the presidency of Saparmurat Niyazov remain unchanged”, Viktor Yanukovych stated.

      According to Prime Minister, conditions of natural gas supply to Ukraine in 2007 also remain unchanged.

      “38 billion cubic metre of natural gas will be supplied at the unchanged price – $ 100 per thousand cubic metres, plus transportation - $25 per thousand cubic metres. At the Ukrainian border it will total $130 per thousand cubic metres”, Viktor Yanukovych stressed.

      On Sunday Prime Minister of Ukraine returned to Kyiv.
