President pays visit to Romania
Talks expected to focus on trade, border, and energy issues
Accompanied by Customs Service Head Oleksandr Yehorov, First Deputy Head of the Border Service Pavlo Shysholin, Zakarpatya Governor Oleh Havashi and Deputy Secretariat Chief of Staff Oleksandr Chalyy, Victor Yushchenko is in Romania today, according to the President`s press-office.
The President will meet with his colleague, Traian Basescu, for talks expected to focus on trade, border, regional, European and energy issues.
The two leaders will attend a ceremony to open a border bridge over the Tysa River and a Solotvyno-Sighetu Marmatiei border station.
Mr. Yushchenko will also meet with members of Romania’s Ukrainian diaspora and visit the Taras Shevchenko Lyceum in the city of Sighetu Marmatiei.
