Today in Davos, within the framework of the World Economic Forum Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has met with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, according to the Cabinet of Ministers’ press-office.

According to the Head of Ukrainian Government, the talks were led in friendly, business-like atmosphere.

Britain proves to be one of Ukraine’s most significant partners and we hope that constant dialogue between the heads of the governments of both countries will play fundamental role in the development and strengthening of Ukrainian – British interaction, as Viktor Yanukovych opined.

In the interview Prime Minister of Ukraine said that in the discussion process the counterparts touched upon not only relations between Ukraine and Great Britain but also the world tendencies in economics and energy security.

While talking, the great attention was paid to the topic of Ukraine’s prospects in European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Ukraine’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), forming of free trade zone with the European Union.

According to Viktor Yanukovych, the other subject for consideration was also creating of proper conditions for investment activity as the Government of Ukraine takes up as greatly significant the development of bipartite trade-economic and investment ties between Ukraine and Great Britain. Ukraine is inclined to take up measures which will contribute to the further deepening of cooperation activity.

During the meeting Tony Blair promised to provide necessary support for Ukraine to complete the process of its accession to the World Trade Organization.
