President leaves for Georgia

To discuss economic issues

Accompanied by Acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, Culture Minister Yuriy Bohutsky,  MP Liliya Grygorovych and Ukrspetsexport Director General Serhiy Bondarchuk, Victor Yushchenko and his wife have left for a two-day visit to Georgia, according to the President`s press-office.

The President is expected to meet with President Mikhail Saakashvili, Speaker Nino Burjanadze and Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli. Mr. Yushchenko and Mr. Saakashvili will chair Ukrainian-Georgian talks, which are expected to focus on economic issues, and sign a number of bilateral agreements.

The Ukrainian leader will also attend ceremonies to lay wreaths at the Memorial of Heroes, unveil a Taras Shevchenko Monument and open a Ukrainian school in Tbilisi.
