Newly elected President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski was sworn in as the new President of Poland and officially took office of the head of the state.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the solemn joint session of both chambers of the parliament – Seim (lower house) and Senate (upper house), where the newly elected President was sworn in, started with the national anthem, after that the participants honoured memory of the victims of Smolensk plane crash by minute of silence.

After that Bronislaw Komorowski delivered his presidential speech, in which he thanked voters for their trust and promised not to disappoint their hopes, and said about priorities of his work at the post of the President of Poland.
