Egyptian former President Hosni Mubarak received a notice of his trial date on Monday, three days ahead of the trial, according to Xinhua.

Mubarak, who has been hospitalized in Sharm el-Sheikh in custody for health reasons since April, finally signed the notice at the suggestion of his lawyer though he had initially refused to do so, official MENA news agency said.

A medical official source in the hospital said Mubarak is accompanied by his wife Suzanne and his grandson Omar.
