GUAM member countries are about to sign today a protocol for creating a free trade zone.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko claimed this speaking at the GUAM Summit in Kyiv today.
“I believe it is very important that today we sign a protocol on the introduction a free trade zone between our four countries”, the President of Ukraine said.
Victor Yushchenko stressed that the tasks of the four GUAM Presidents and governments in this sphere were resolved with a colossal success.
“I think the next issue on the agenda is to unify the tariff policy, which significantly drags out the development, in particular, of the transport relations, at present”, he said.
He added that the countries will also have to unify the work of their customs and border guard services.
