CE Commissioner on human rights plans to visit Ukraine
For talks with the new Ukrainian government
Commissioner of Council of Europe on Human Rights Tomas Hammarberg is about to visit Ukraine in the beginning of the next year.
He said this in the interview to an UNIAN correspondent.
“I am about to arrive to Ukraine in the beginning of the next year”, he said.
The Commissioner noted that during his visit he intends to talk with the new Ukrainian government about the implementation of recommendations, which are in his report concerning the situation of human right in Ukraine, publicized on October 3.
“It will be discussion concerning how these recommendations were understood and how the work over them began”, said commissioner, having added that he will be glad to discuss what help he can give to the Ukrainian power.
