EU wants Ukraine to play fairly – Zbigniew Zaleski

EP member Zbigniew Zaleski (Poland), author of the report about trade and commercial relations with Ukraine, believes that, to form a free trade zone with EU, Ukraine should play fairly.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this to Ukrainian journalists in Brussels on Tuesday, after the EP Committee for International Trade supported the draft of his report.

“If we see that Ukraine plays fairly with us, and does not look with one eye on Russia, and with another – on Europe, then this zone will be created”, Z.Zaleski said.

The MEP stressed that a free trade zone may be created only bilaterally. At the same time, if Ukraine wants to make some parallel steps with Russia, Europe must know about such steps.
