Yushchenko congratulated Lithuanian President on his birthday

President Victor Yushchenko has offered his best birthday wishes to Lithuania’s Valdas Adamkus, according to the President`s press-office.

Yushchenko expressed confidence in a telephone conversation Lithuania would continue its democratic and European advance under Adamkus, describing its partnership with Ukraine as "trustful." He wished the Lithuanian leader "strong health, creative inspiration and much success."

Valdas Adamkus was born on 3 November 1926 in Kaunas.
