Iran ready to cooperate with Ukraine in nuclear sphere – Ambassador

Iran is ready to cooperate with Ukraine on the issue concerning the information exchange in the nuclear sphere.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic Iran to Ukraine Seyed Mousa Kazemi said this at the news conference in Kyiv today.
“Our goals in the nuclear sphere are peaceful and we are ready to cooperation with any friendly country in the sphere of nuclear information exchange”, said S. Kazemi.
According to his words, Ukrainians have got the corresponding experience while working at building Busherska NPP for several years.
He expressed a belief that the promises of the USA, which were given to Ukraine after it refused to take part in building Busherska NPP, were never fulfilled.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine refused from the contract on building Busherska NPP in Iran. After that, “Kharkiv initiative” project was started with the assistance of the USA. Washington decided to finance the works on the project feasibility study and upgrading the heat supply system of Kharkiv, for which 535 thousand dollars were allocated. The further collaboration involves implementation of a large-scale project for boosting the energy efficiency of the city heat supply, with attracting investments at more than 170 mln US dollars.
As Iranian side reported earlier, more than a thousand of Ukrainian specialists worked on contracts with Russian companies at building Busherska NPP in Iran.
