On November 21, 2007 First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine V.Khandogiy received Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Reinhard Schäfers, according to the MFA press-service.
During the meeting, the parties discussed Ukrainian – German bilateral cooperation development in the context of maintenance of active political dialogue between Ukraine and the Federal Republic of Germany. Mr. Khandogiy noted the great importance which the Ukrainian party attaches to the official visit of Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel scheduled for the next year in the framework of the Sixth Ukrainian – German Top Level Political Consultations.
The meeting participants exchanged views on the present state of the negotiation process on entry of Ukraine into the World Trade Organization.
