Yushchenko meets Budapest Mayor

President Victor Yushchenko met today with Gabor Demszky, Mayor of Budapest, according to the President`s press-office.

      Mr. Demszky thanked V. Yushchenko for paying attention to needs of Hungarian community in Zakarpattya. Mr. Demszky promised that he will promote Hungarian investments to the region . He also expressed readiness to favor Ukrainian Cultural Information Center establishment in Budapest.

      President thanked Mr. Demszky from his part for opening a memorial to Taras Shevchenko in Budapest. He also expressed hope that Budapest authorities shall fulfill the request of Ukrainian community to build a memorial dedicated to Holodomor victims
