An Iraqi military delegation, headed by general-major Bashar Mahmud Ayub, commander-in-chief of the Iraqi Land Force, is paying a visit in Ukraine.
According to the press-service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the main aim of the visit of the Iraqi military men is to study the opportunities of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex companies and the system of the military education of Ukraine.
During the visit, the Iraqi delegation representatives held working meetings with chiefs of departments of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the General Headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during which the sides talked over buying spare parts and repairing military equipment.
The Iraqi military delegation also held talks with the leadership of “Ukrspetsexport” state-owned company for export and import of special and military production and services, and “Ukrainian Aircraft Transport Company” state-owned enterprise of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.
The visit will last till 29 June.
