Foreign ministers from North Atlantic Treaty Organization countries will start two days of informal meetings in Lithuania`s capital, Vilnius, on Hursday, according to RIA Novosti.

The talks in the former Soviet Baltic state will include a NATO-Ukraine Commission meeting on Thursday afternoon and an informal working lunch of the NATO-Russia Council on Friday afternoon, NATO said on its website.

Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas, who will host the meeting, said that as well as global security issues the sides will discuss "providing peace and economic development for Afghanistan and Kosovo, and cooperation with other NATO partners."

An informal meeting between NATO defense chiefs and nations contributing to the Non-NATO Kosovo Force (KFOR) will be held on Thursday afternoon.
