President Victor Yushchenko met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay Ruben Ramirez Lezcano, according to the President`s press-office.
During the meeting the sides discussed development of Ukrainian-Paraguayan bilateral relations in political, economic and humanitarian fields.
The President welcomed signature of the agreement on trade and economic cooperation between our states scheduled within the framework of Mr. Lezcano’s visit to Ukraine. Victor Yushchenko also repeated his invitation to Nicanor Duarte Frutos, the President of Paraguay to visit Ukraine.
Besides Mr. Lezcano handed over to Mr. Yushchenko a personal address from President N. D. Frutos on the occasion of 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between Ukraine and Paraguay.
The President from his part granted the Paraguayan Foreign Minister with an order “For Merit” for Mr. Lezcano’s personal contribution into Ukrainian-Paraguayan bilateral relations development.
