Lithuanian PM pays visit in Ukraine
Today First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas.
During the meeting issues on cooperation in transport, energy and scientific spheres have been discussed as well as prospects of development of trade-economic relations, according to the government’s press-office.
“Let me congratulate Ukraine on its accession to the WTO on behalf of the Lithuanian Government,” Gediminas Kirkilas noted. He also expressed hope that Ukraine joins free trade area very soon.
In his turn, Oleksandr Turchynov stated that Ukraine “appreciates Lithuanian support heading toward Eurointegration”.
The participants of the meeting have also discussed an opportunity to hold a second session of the Inter-Government Cooperation Council between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius.
