President offers sympathy to Putin
Over today’s plane crash in Irkutsk
Victor Yushchenko has offered sympathy to Russian President Vladimir Putin over today’s plane crash in Irkutsk that killed more than one hundred people and left dozens injured, according to the President’s press-office.
“Mister President, ... I would like to present my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died and to the people of Russia,” he wrote in a letter.
Mr. Putin designated Monday, July 10, to be a day of mourning throughout Russia.
