The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 11.2 million patients as of the morning of July 5.

As many as 11,281,265 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 12:33 on July 5, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 531,069 people, while 6,070,608 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (129,676 people), Brazil (64,265), the United Kingdom (44,283), Italy (34,854), Mexico (30,366), France (29,896), and Spain (28,385).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (2,839,917 confirmed cases), Brazil (1,577,004), Russia (680,283), India (673,165), Peru (299,080), Chile (291,847), the United Kingdom (286,414), Mexico (252,165), Spain (250,545), Italy (241,419), Iran (237,878), and Pakistan (228,474).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
