The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 20 million patients as of August 11.

As many as 20,092,855 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 09:35 on August 11, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 736,254 people, while 12,350,879 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (163,465 people), Brazil (101,752), Mexico (53,003), the United Kingdom (46,611), India (45,257), Italy (35,209), and France (30,327).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (5,094,565 confirmed cases), Brazil (3,057,470), India (2,268,675), Russia (890,799), South Africa (563,598), Mexico (485,836), Peru (483,133), Colombia (397,623), Chile (375,044), Iran (328,844), and Spain (322,980).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
