The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 55.6 million patients as of November 18.

As many as 55,645,915 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 10:26 on November 18, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (248,687 people), Brazil (166,699), India (130,993), Mexico (99,026), the United Kingdom (52,839), Italy (46,464), and France (46,346).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (11,359,804 confirmed cases), India (8,912,907), Brazil (5,911,758), France (2,087,183), Russia (1,954,912), Spain (1,510,023), the United Kingdom (1,414,359), and Argentina (1,329,005).

As many as 191 countries have been affected by the virus.
