As many as 3,344,274 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 07:30 on May 2, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 238,775 people, while 1,053,344 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

Most cases were recorded in the United States (1,103,781). Then come Spain (213,435), Italy (207,428), Great Britain (178,685), France (167,305), Germany (164,077), Turkey (122 392), and Russia (114,431).

According to statistics, Ukraine left South Korea behind in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases: 10,861 against 10,780.
