The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 23 million patients as of August 23.

The overall death toll is 804,697 people, while 14,937,957 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (176,371 people), Brazil (114,250), Mexico (60,254), India (56,706), the United Kingdom (41,509), Italy (35,430), and France (30,517).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (5,668,564 confirmed cases), Brazil (3,582,362), India (3,044,940), Russia (954,328), South Africa (607,045), Peru (576,067), Mexico (556,216), and Colombia (522,138).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
