The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 6.2 million patients as of the morning of June 2.

As many as 6,273,402 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 09:33 on June 2, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 375,683 people, while 2,697,873 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (105,147 people), the United Kingdom (39,127), Italy (33,475), Brazil (29,937), France (28,836), Spain (27,127).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (1,811,277 confirmed cases), Brazil (526,447), Russia (414,328), Great Britain (277,736), Spain (239,638), Italy (233,197), India (199,343), France (189,348), Germany (183,594), Peru (170,039), and Turkey (164,769).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
