The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 9.8 million patients on Saturday evening.

As many as 9,866,685 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported as of 20:33 on June 27, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.

The overall death toll is 495,692 people, while 4,983,029 coronavirus patients have already recovered.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (125,255 people), Brazil (55,961), the United Kingdom (43,598), Italy (34,716), France (29,781), and Spain (28,341).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (2,488,037 confirmed cases), Brazil (1,274,974), Russia (626,779), India (508,953), the United Kingdom (311,727), Peru (272,364), Chile (267,766), Spain (248,469), Italy (240,136), Iran (220,180), Mexico (208,392), and France (199,473).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
