The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 31 million patients as of September 21.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (199,509 people), Brazil (136,895), India (82,882), Mexico (73,493), the United Kingdom (41,886), Italy (35,707), and Peru (31,369).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (6,804,814 confirmed cases), India (5,487,580), Brazil (4,544,629), Russia (1,098,958), Peru (768,895), Colombia (765,076), Mexico (697,663), and South Africa (661,211).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
