The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 35.1 million patients as of October 5.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (209,721 people), Brazil (146,352), India (102,685), Mexico (79,088), the United Kingdom (42,440), Italy (35,986), and Peru (32,742).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (7,417,845 confirmed cases), India (6,623,815), Brazil (4,915,289), Russia (1,209,039), Colombia (855,052), Peru (828,169), Argentina (798,486), and Spain (789,932).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
