The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world exceeded 26.6 million patients as of September 5.

The highest death toll was recorded in the United States (187,765 people), Brazil (125,502), India (69,561), Mexico (66,851), the United Kingdom (41,626), Italy (35,518), and France (30,730).

The countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic include the United States (6,201,727 confirmed cases), Brazil (4,091,801), India (4,023,179), Russia (1,011,987), Peru (670,145), Colombia (641,574), South Africa (635,078), and Mexico (623,090).

As many as 188 countries have been affected by the virus.
