Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko will turn to President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko with a request to dismiss Yuri Yekhanurov as Defense Minister of Ukraine.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this to a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday.
“I, being the Prime Minister, have reviewed all the evidence and I may state: there is unprecedented corruption concerning budget means. It is my personal conclusion, and I have a right to make it. That is why I will send today a letter to the President, I will add all the documents that we have, with a request, in line with the Constitution, to send a submission to the Verkhovna Rada on the dismissal of the Defense Minister”, Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
The Prime Minister informed that she will send the same letter concerning Yekhanurov’s dismissal to the parliament. “I do not want any corruption in the Ukrainian government. I stress once again that all the expenses in all Ministries will be checked”, she emphasized.
