Famous Italian singer and compositor Toto Cutugno expressed regret for cause of likeness of his song “Ti amo” sung by Umberto Tozzi and a song “Leader”, which was presented to leader of the Party of Regions Victor Yanukovych on October 3 in Odesa as a pre-election hymn of this candidate to the post of the President of Ukraine.
“Of course, it is unpleasant. Because it is my song”, said Toto Cutugno to STB television channel, having commented a fact of plagiarism from the side of the Party of Regions before his concert in Kyiv.
Victor Yanukovych, after it had been said that the song “Leader” is the plagiarism of creative work of Toto Cutugno, - now refuses to have anything to do with this song. “I have heard nothing and I have ordered nothing”, says the leader of the Party of Regions.
