"The FBI experts, who have been involved [in the investigation], carried out together with our experts further examination of the scene, the car itself. Since they have more advanced technologies and extensive experience in investigating explosions, they are conducting relevant expert studies of the substance, which has been used in the explosive device," Shevchenko said at a briefing in Kyiv today.

"They [FBI experts] have stayed about a week ... they have left now and are carrying out relevant analyses in their laboratories," Shevchenko said.

"The FBI experts assist in identifying the chemical composition of the substance, which was planted. The only thing which is known is the equivalent to about 500 grams of TNT," Shevchenko said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Sheremet was killed in a car blast in the center of Kyiv July 20. The main version of the investigation is revenge for the journalist`s professional activity.
