"No Ukrainian soldiers were killed but seven were wounded in hostilities in the past 24 hours," presidential administration speaker for Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) issues Andriy Lysenko said in Kyiv on Sunday.

The press service of the ATO headquarters said in its Saturday evening update that there were 22 enemy attacks on Ukrainian troops as of 18:00 Kyiv time.

The town of Avdiyivka and the village of Pisky near the ruined Donetsk airport remained hot spots on the Donbas war map.

"Militants deployed on the outskirts of Donetsk were shelling ATO strongholds near Avdiyivka and Pisky, using high-caliber machine-guns and grenade launchers, while Russian proxies used guns of BPM-2 infantry combat vehicles, ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft systems and grenade launchers to shell our troops near the village of Opytne," the ATO HQ said.

Russian proxies continued provocations in the Mariupol sector. "Positions not far from Pavlopil and Shyrokyne came under 82mm mortar fire four times during the day [on Saturday]," the ATO HQ said.

The enemy used small arms, large-caliber machine-guns and grenade launchers of various systems to attack Ukrainian troops near the village of Vodiane.

Later, the ATO HQ reported 44 attacks in the last day in its update as of 06:00 Kyiv time on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Twenty-four attacks were recorded in the Mariupol sector and 20 attacks in the Donetsk sector.

"From 22:10 to 23:00 on June 4, 2016, the Russian-separatist forces based in the temporarily occupied town of Dokuchayevsk were shelling Mykolaivka, using 120mm mortars, which are banned by the Minsk agreements," the ATO HQ said.

In total, the enemy fired seven missiles, the consequences of the attack are being verified.
