PM Honcharuk calls on SBU to liquidate Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes

Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk expects the SBU Security Service of Ukraine will liquidate the Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes.

"We had a government meeting and decided to liquidate UBEP [the Directorate for Combating Economic Crimes]. The process has not been completed yet, but law enforcement agencies should change their attitude toward businesses. We expect the Security Service will do the same," he said at a forum in Kyiv on September 4.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 2, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers liquidated the National Police Department of Economic Defense.
