
"Ukraine cooperates actively with Belarus. During the visit, we have agreed on cooperation between the Ukrainian plant Electrotyazhmash and the Belarus-based OJSC BELAZ, as well as between state-owned enterprise Ukrainian Research Institute of Special Steels, Alloys and Ferroalloys and OJSC Borisov Plant of Automotive and Tractor Electrical Equipment. We also plan to develop cooperation between Sumy Engineering Works Ltd. and JSC Pinskiy Zavod Sredstv Maloy Mechanizatcii. I am deeply convinced that the arrangements made during this visit will bring tangible results," the press service quoted Brovchenko as saying.

The countries' trade stood at US$1.64 billion over the five months of 2017, which was 25.4% up or $331.7 million more year-over-year.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine and Belarus plan to boost trade to $7.9 billion in the next two years due to the development of cooperation.
