Over the period under review, US$1.218 billion in new investment was injected in nonresidents' equity capital, while US$305.9 million was disinvested. Positive revaluation was estimated at US$1.304 billion.

Meanwhile, direct investment (equity capital) made by Ukraine residents in foreign economies in the nine months of 2017 was estimated at US$10.2 million.

The State Statistics Service says that the data does not include reports from temporarily occupied areas, namely Donbas and Crimea.

As UNIAN reported earlier, foreign investors injected US$4.406 billion in FDI in Ukraine's economy in 2016, which was 17.1%, or US$642 million, up on 2015 when FDI amounted to US$3.764 billion.
