The country's gross external debt has increased by 3.26% since the beginning of the year, it said.

External liabilities of the public sector in January-September 2017 rose by $3.8 billion, to $46.5 billion, while those of private sector decreased by $0.1 billion, to $70.8 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's gross external debt as of July 1, 2017, totaled $114.836 billion, which was 1.1%, or $1.198 billion, up against April 1.

Ukraine's gross external debt decreased by 4.4%, or $5.2 billion, in 2016, to $113.483 billion.
