Boryspil International Airport, which is Ukraine's largest airport, boosted passenger traffic by 19.5% in 2018 from 2017, to 12.6 million people.

Since 2014, when the airport handled 6.89 million customers, its passenger traffic has increased by 84%, the airport's press service told UNIAN.

As UNIAN reported, Boryspil Airport in 2017 increased passenger traffic by 22% from 2016, to 10.55 million people. By the end of 2016, the airport's passenger traffic grew by 19%, to 8.5 million people. In 2015 the airport handled 7.2 million passengers, which was 6% up from the previous year.

Boryspil International Airport is a state enterprise that accounts for 68% of all air traffic in Ukraine. The airport is the base for the largest local carrier, Ukraine International Airlines (UAI).
