Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has said the number of confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the city rose by 112 in the past day.

"In the past day, another 112 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus, including eight healthcare workers. There was one fatality," he said on Telegram on July 14.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city is 6,350.

According to Klitschko, 50 women aged 20 to 79 and 56 men aged 22 to 84 among those infected.

In addition, four girls (from four to 15 years old) and two boys (from 12 to 16 years old) tested positive for the coronavirus.

Klitschko said nine new patients had been hospitalized, while the rest were self-isolating, undergoing treatment at home under medical supervision.

Fifteen people recovered from the disease in the past day, he said.

In total, 2,124 Kyiv residents have already recovered.

The highest number of the new cases in Kyiv was registered in Darnytsky district (31), Desniansky district (21), and Dniprovsky district (14).

The total death toll in the city is 125 cases.
