Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held in the presidential administration a closed meeting with the Government late Tuesday, April 17.

The meeting was initiated by the president, Ukrayinska Pravda reported, referring to sources in the government and parliament.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Presidential Administration, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, and almost all ministers.

Sources say, the meeting discussed the issues of church transformations and the need for unity of all power branches, in particular, presidential and governmental teams.

As UNIAN reported earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday, April 17, announced the start of the procedure for the creation of a unified Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
