Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on May 21 held a phone conversation with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, during which she informed Poroshenko of the results of recent talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi.
"The Federal Chancellor informed the head of state of the results of recent talks with the president of the Russian Federation in Sochi," the Ukrainian presidential press service said.
The officials discussed the situation in Donbas and joint efforts to implement the Minsk agreements.
The parties also touched upon the security issues related to the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
It was agreed to maintain a close dialogue at bilateral level.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Putin and Merkel held talks in Sochi on May 18.
