Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has instructed respective services of Ukraine to provide Russian journalist and Putin's vocal critic Arkady Babchenko and his family with 24/7 security.

"I greet the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) – this is a brilliant operation to protect the life of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko," Poroshenko wrote on Facebook on May 30 after an announcement that it was a staged "murder" of Babchenko.

Day by day, Ukraine's law enforcement agencies "become stronger in counteracting Russian aggression and all manifestations of hybrid warfare in Ukraine," he wrote.

"Moscow is hardly likely to stop there – I have ordered that Arkady and his family be provided with 24-hour security," Poroshenko added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Arkady Babchenko, the Russian journalist who was reported to have been shot dead in Kyiv, turned up alive at a news conference in Ukraine on May 30. His staged "murder" was a special operation conducted by the SBU.
