Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said Ukraine will apply for EU membership in 2024 and will receive an Action Plan regarding NATO membership.

"We will apply for membership in the European Union in 2024, and there is no doubt that we will receive it, and we will begin to implement the Action Plan regarding NATO membership," he said at Kyiv's International Exhibition Center during the Forum titled: "From Kruty to Brussels. We are going our way," according to an UNIAN correspondent.
As UNIAN reported earlier, President Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian army would be able to act fully in accordance with NATO standards as early as in 2020.
