The European Union is likely to remove the asset freeze earlier imposed on Andriy Klyuyev, the head of administration of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

"The Eu is likely to remove the asset freeze on Andriy Klyuyev, the head of administration of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. The sanctions against Yanukovych and 11 other associates are set to be prolonged by another year," Brussels reporter for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak wrote on Twitter on Friday, February 22.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the General Court of the European Union on July 11, 2018, lifted sanctions earlier imposed on Andriy Klyuyev, the ex-head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine under Viktor Yanukovych's presidency, for the period of 2017-2018, as the effect of the restrictive measures ended in March 2018.
