The United States supports Ukrainian people's decision to be part of the European Union and NATO.
"[The] U.S. cannot and will not negotiate away rights of Ukrainian people. Only Ukrainians can decide their future, and they have made clear they want their sovereignty, their territory, and to be part of Euro-Atlantic structures," U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker said on Twitter on May 9.

As UNIAN reported earlier, chiefs of the general staffs of the NATO member states will meet in Brussels on May 22 to discuss the security situation and future cooperation with Ukraine.
