Volker "extremely disappointed" with new truce violations that killed four Ukrainian troops
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine negotiations Kurt Volker has expressed disappointment over the latest shelling of Ukrainian military by Russian-backed forces in Donbas that took lives of four Ukrainian military.
"Extremely disappointed with new ceasefire violations, leading to 4 Ukrainian soldiers killed by Russian led forces," Volker wrote on Twitter Tuesday, Aug 5.
The diplomat added that the attack occurred "at a time when the new Ukrainian President is making gestures for peace."
As UNIAN reported earlier, in response to a deadly shelling in Donbas that killed four Ukrainian troops President Volodymyr Zelensky urged the Normandy Four leaders to meet as soon as possible to resume negotiations on Donbas settlement.
