Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's envoy to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk says the Servant of the People Party plans to chair 21 parliamentary committees.
"We have already determined what we are applying for. If I'm not mistaken, we would like to take over the chairmanship of 21 committees and take the first two deputies," he said, according to the news outlet Hromadske.
According to Stefanchuk, each party should be proportionally represented in the committees.
As UNIAN reported earlier, an ad hoc group of newly elected parliamentarians in charge of preparations for the work of the new parliament in general approved a list of 23 parliamentary committees, which would be created within the Verkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation.
