Ukraine's Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko claims President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is prepared to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Prystaiko's comment came as a response to a reporter's question on whether Zelensky was ready to meet with Putin, an UNIAN correspondent reports from Mariupol where the "RE: THINK. Invest in Ukraine" investment forum is taking place today, Oct 28.

"I believe he is [prepared]. He spoke with him on the phone three times. I'm sure that he is clearly aware of what can be achieved, and how," said Prystaiko.

At the same time, the foreign minister confirmed that he had been a witness to these telephone conversations.

Prystaiko refused to answer the question, whether Zelensky took a tough stance while talking with Putin, noting that "not everyone" publishes and discusses the presidents' conversations.

"We don't do this," he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Zelensky said that the meeting of the Normandy Four (Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany) leaders will take place after forces disengage in Zolote and Petrivske, and shelling is ceased.
