Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko has stressed he is not clinging to his top diplomatic post and could step down any time if his services are no longer needed by the government or president.

Asked at a panel show on ICTV if there are any conditions or a decision that could come up to make him resign, Prystaiko said: "I don't even need any decisions. I could give up my mandate at any moment."

In this regard, the minister was asked, what could ultimately lead to his resignation.

"If my help and my diplomatic expertise are no longer needed by this government and this president, I'm ready to step down from the post. No problem with that," Prystaiko said.
